In order to improve the wildlife habitats parts of Beacon Hill Wood have been thinned during March 2011. In the more sensitive areas this work has been carried out by Richard Branscombe and Kate Mobbs Morgan of Swainsford Heavy Horses from Mere, Wiltshire.
